His sister Dorothy was already in London getting her teeth fixed for the trip. Of course the suitcase wasn\u2019t battered in those days \u2013 it was brand new \u2013 and the poet was obviously proud of it because he wrote his name and the date inside the lid \u2013 or at least he attempted to \u2026 what he actually wrote before he ran out of space was \u2018W. Wordswort 1820\u2019, before adding the \u2018\u2019H\u2019 above as an afterthought straddling the \u2018O\u2019 and the \u2018R\u2019.
